VPN for Iran
Filtering in Iran pairs protocol-level VPN blocking with long stretches of throttling, so anything relying on a single protocol tends to fold. Pangea cycles through five disguised transports until one connects. You can pay with Monero, which leaves no card, no email address and no name on the account.

What the filtering does
Protocol blocking
VPN handshakes are identified by pattern and dropped. Encryption alone is not enough; the traffic has to not look like a VPN.
Throttling and shutdowns
Bandwidth is deliberately degraded during periods of unrest, and international routes are sometimes cut entirely. No VPN can route around a connection that is off.
Payment isolation
International cards do not work. Cryptocurrency is the practical route, and Monero in particular does not tie the payment to you.
App store access
Getting VPN software through official stores is unreliable. Our desktop builds come from our own site and from GitHub releases.
How the app finds a way through
The same five transports, in the same order, chosen by the app rather than by you: VLESS+REALITY, Cloak, Shadowsocks, Hysteria2, NaiveProxy. Each hides the tunnel differently, so a filter tuned to one does not stop the others.
Auto mode finds the way
The app tries each transport in order until one connects. Or pin one in the Connection Method setting.

Before you start
- If your safety depends on not being identified, speak to a digital security organisation that specialises in high-risk situations before relying on any commercial VPN.
- Pay with Monero: no card, no email address, no name on the account.
- The app moves between five transports on its own, and we ship updates as the filtering shifts.
- Servers in London, Amsterdam and New York, with more available on request.
- During a national internet shutdown there is no route out of the country for any VPN to use.
- Windows and macOS apps; iPhone connects through Shadowrocket.
Questions
- Can I pay for a VPN from Iran?
- With cryptocurrency, yes. You create an account number on our site and fund it with Monero or another coin. No card, email, or name is involved, and the account number is your entire login.
- Why do most VPNs stop working in Iran?
- Because filtering targets the protocol itself. A VPN that only encrypts is still recognisable as a VPN and gets blocked. Transports that disguise the traffic as ordinary HTTPS are what continue to connect.
- Do you log anything that could identify me?
- No. We hold no connection logs, no activity logs and no timestamps, and a crypto account carries no email or name in the first place. There is a warrant canary at /canary.
- Will it work during an internet shutdown?
- No. A VPN needs a working route to the outside world. If international connectivity is cut, nothing we do restores it.
